I responded to a job ad online and filled out an application. I was contacted back for an interview and told to print out several additional application documents and fill them out prior to coming in. Make sure you follow this step--don't be lazy and show up empty handed. I'm sure they will think less of you if you expect them to have the sheets printed and ready for you to fill out. Once I arrived I was required to sign in and take a picture to get a visitor's pass. Not sure why they are so particular about this but just a head's up. I was put on a computer to test for basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc). The questions are difficult if you are used to using shortcuts or right clicking to perform certain actions because the program they make you take the test with is very particular about you using the ribbon. Annoying, but doable. If you do well on the test, they take you to be interviewed. You will start with one person and progress to staff members higher on the food chain if they like you. I felt the first person I interviewed with was pretty standard. The second person I interviewed with was more personable, but still, standard questions. She did sort of of talk a bit negatively about other departments, though it seemed to be in a good natured way. Hard to say for sure after reading reviews on here that say department heads bashing workers is a huge problem. The third person I interviewed with seemed a bit peeved. Looking back, I think we just had a bit of miscommunication going on which caused some hostility. At one point, he questioned my prior job. For some reason he doubted my pay, saying something along the lines of, "Surely this couldn't pay the bills." I found this unprofessional and condescending. I also found it humorous in a way because I was actually very well compensated for my time there, much better than what they later offered me! Lol Overall, for this position they are looking for someone smart and ambitious who wants to move up in the company. They don't want someone who will be stagnant.
