I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SCC Soft Computer Inc. (Clearwater, FL) in Jan 2011
Interview
Too many involved in the interview process. Not enough information provided for the job being recruited for. Called back for additional interviews too many times. Difficult to understand the person interviewing me (language barrier).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If I were a tree what would I be and why? There must be some kind of hidden meaning to this? But to his a potential employee with a question like that only sets the person up to feel stupid and so puzzled they could blow the whole interview. Why not just ask specific questions about their qualifications, life history and interests?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at SCC Soft Computer Inc. in Jun 2012
Interview
The process started out with filing an online application. Approximately one week later was contacted by phone requesting additional information about my resume. The HR person then offered an interview with dates and times. There seemed to be some confusion about the available times and dates but a follow up phone call at the request of HR cleared it up. The company facilites are very nice and the whole process seemed very well organized. I was greeted by an HR person who showed me to the interview room an gave me a packet with benefit information. The company offers a free health plan to nonsmokers and a subsidized lunch program. Shortly after sitting down the hiring manager came in introduced himself and asked only relvant questions about job skills, goals and expectations for the canadate. He answered questions about performance review process and how the company supports the devlopement of employees very throughly. He wants someone who throughly tries to resolve technical issues and do not just give up quickly. For example the employee would explain all the troubleshooting steps tried and research done then ask for help. A person who uses there time wisely like learningnew technology during down time. A person who handles stress well during cruch periods. During the interview he did excuse him self for several minutes to go and get a person I think was his boss who introduced himself name only then explained the next steps in the process which created a somewhat akward moment but still not sure why he wanted to introduce himself. Maybe to see the canadates. Now waiting to see if I make the short list.
