I was interviewed by a panel of 8 Caucasian women which, as a person who is not Caucasian, felt slightly intimidating. Most of the women seemed disinterested, and most did not smile or attempt to establish rapport. They followed a set script of questions, and seemed to want to end the interview as quickly as possible. After I was finished answering the interview questions I was taken to complete an Excel assessment that I found to be a very simple document formatting task. I'm assuming they had someone else in mind for the job already because I was immediately rejected the following morning which I feel is slightly discriminatory due to the fact that I currently work in a similar field and have a Bachelors degree.
