I didn’t believe I was the right fit for this role based on my current scope and compensation band, but the recruiter encouraged me to move forward anyway—while never clearly addressing my compensation questions.
The process started strong. My first interview was thoughtful and engaging. It took place on a Friday, and I received immediate feedback along with a push to move quickly. I was asked to interview again that following Monday.
However, the experience quickly declined. The second interview felt rushed and overly tactical, with the interviewer explicitly mentioning they had many second-round interviews that week. After that conversation, communication stalled. I didn’t hear anything for over a week.
When the recruiter finally called, I asked about the delay, especially since I had been told I would hear back within a day or so. Instead of taking ownership, the recruiter deflected responsibility onto the interviewer. I was then told I would hear back within one to two days and that only one more interview remained.
The third interview went well, but once again, communication dropped off. After four days with no update, I reached out to the recruiter and received no response. He eventually called me late Friday at 5pm. I returned the call promptly, but he never answered or followed up.
I never received a formal rejection or any closure. I was left to assume the outcome.
Overall, this was a frustrating and unprofessional experience. If this level of disorganization and lack of accountability reflects their internal operations, I would strongly reconsider engaging with this company
