I was contacted in the beginning of July 2023 to interview. There were supposed to be 2 rounds of interviews. The hiring manager assured me that she would be back to me with a second interview. HR sent a survey the very next day then I never heard back from the hiring manager even after reaching out a week later. I am okay with not getting the job but being ghosted after being told you are wanted is highly unprofessional. It would have been nice to have just received an email stating I was not selected instead of being lead to believe I was a top candidate. The job market is super stressful and I turned down another opportunity because I truly thought this was a viable option.
