Got a call from pyramid IT consultancy for Senior database analyst position with Sabre travel technologies. JD says it is for Sr.Sql Developer having experience in Microsoft T-SQL, Stored procedures and Functions including performance tuning. After reaching Sabre in right time, I told the receptionist that I'm here for interview. She told 'Please be seated'. Thats it. She is saying the same to all the interview candidates. After an hour, I myself enquired a guy and submitted my resume. After waiting another hour, I followed up with the guy who collected my resume, if interviews are going on Sql Server because all the candidates, who have came are either for Oracle PL/SQL or for Java. He said yes, interviews are happening. After another 30-45 minutes, some person called me to go for the interview. After getting into a conference room, the interview panel(2 persons) said, this position is purely for Oracle PL/SQL, but your resume says it is Sql Server. By this time my precious 3 hours are wasted.
Huge communication gap and no courtesy to give an update for the interview candidates who are waiting in the reception for hours. Very careless receptionist who has only one answer, 'Please be seated'.
Huge regret going for the interview at sabre. Hope they improve their recruitment process by not wasting their and candidates time.
