I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Safeway (Napa, CA) in Jul 2013
Interview
I applied online on the safeway website. After a week, i met with the store manager to discuss the status of my application. She got my name and would call Human Resources to setup an interview with me. I got a call the next day; being offered an interview tomorrow. My interview was at a different Safeway than the one I applied to. I met with the store manager in her office in the back of the store. She was very nice and polite. At first, she asked me simple yes or no questions like, "When can you start," and "what hours can you work". I had a good feeling I was going to get the job already. Then she asked me more in-depth questions. Afterwards, I was offered the job and did a drug test on the spot. Currently waiting on the drug results which should come in a week but I should pass them and I was told I will start training on the spot shortly after they come back.
