I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Indianapolis, IN) in Nov 2013
Interview
I was contacted regarding an opportunity in the recruiting department. I had a phone interview with the manager of the department that went very well and later told that if called into a face to face interview, I should expect an offer as "80% of face to face interviews result in offer". Once brought in for a face to face, I had 4 different interviews. The first interview was with the Director of the department. She was very late to the interview as I sat alone for a good 15 minutes in a room. She did apologize for it claiming she was very busy, but you would think an interview would be important to show you care about your possible future employees. The first interview went well and was very high level questions about my experience. The secondary interview was with the manager of the department who I had already spoken to on the phone. This interview was much more casual as she already knew my answers. The next two interviews were with team members I would be working with. The interviews were vastly different. The first interview was with 2 senior recruiters and were very abrasive as if they had an issue with me from the get go. The second interview was with the sourcers and went very well. By the end of the interview, I was not sold on this "Orange Culture" that they mentioned over and over. I left the interview very unsure if I was interested in the position or not. I heard back 2-3 days later that they would be pursuing other candidates.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
No difficult questions. There was some abrasive type of questions that bothered me.
Very thorough and detailed orientated. Maybe 1 too interviews too many as I had to go through 5 rounds of interviews. By the end it was frustrating as it felt as if they wanted to make sure, but 5 interviews is a bit much.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Salesforce (Singapore) in Jan 2022
Interview
Have not heard back from the company, so will put as no offer.
1) 15-30 min chat with the recruiter, where the recruiter shared mainly about the role, and understood my experiences
2) 1h chat with the hiring manager, was given many questions relating to “tell me a time when…”
Didn’t like the recruitment experience.
- The chat with the hiring manager felt mostly one-way, didn’t feel like it would be a nurturing culture but one that was driven based on business needs. It was focused a lot more on “what did you do”, which was an experience that paled a lot with other companies which were more candid and two-way
- Response rate was incredibly long too. Recruiter told me she would respond by EOD, and only updated two weeks later. Hiring manager told me they would respond by EOD, but I haven’t heard from them for weeks.
- Recruiter also offered me to ask questions along the way, but did not respond to any of my questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Salesforce (New York, NY) in Jan 2021
Interview
I was interviewed for two different positions on the HR team. I never received feedback on either. The recruiter did not respond to inquiries. It was an experience wholly out of line with the culture Salesforce tries to promote. And it was troubling that the HR team did not have great processes for hiring HR roles.
