I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2015
Interview
The interview process had me a little worried at first because I ended up applying twice. It starts with an over the phone interview with a recruiter who asks basic questions to see if you are a good fit (experience and personality) for the company. Once the recruiter sees you as a good fit you will then have a phone call with the hiring manager. After speaking with the hiring manager you are brought in for a group interview with hiring manager and normally a VP where they want to know about your past experience and see how your sales process was and how you handled obstacles in the past. You always want to make sure your personality comes through I can't emphasis this enough. If you made it past that step you will be asked to do a presentation for that same group. I've heard that this process is quicker for others depending on where they are in their quarter. It took me over a month because they saw me as a good fit for two different teams. My advice is reach out to other people that work there and you'll be surprised how helpful they can be. 70% of new hires are referrals so knowing someone will help you. Also, Salesforce really does hire only the best (1% hiring rate with over 500,000 applications/year). It's easier to get into Harvard lol!!!
Recruiter missed multiple interviews only to tell me they have no positions only.
6 months later I receive an interview invite with pay $20k lower than originally discussed
Manager arrives late to the interview then cuts the time early. Company seems disorganized and difficult to take seriously as a so called leader in SaaS.

pretty easy interview. Had to do a case. It felt like it was just a formality and they put me up to it to fit into their standard processes. Not the best experience but it is what it is
