I had an initial interview with the current Marketing Director, I got asked to do a review of their website, this stage was followed by a second interview with the CEO, and got ghosted after the second interview.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Sama
Interview
I applied online and received an email from the Office Manager/HR rep the next day for a phone interview. Interview went well and the next step was to speak with the VP, Marketing who works P/T. Interview was rescheduled 3 times based on the VP's schedule and was originally supposed to be in-person but ended up being a phone interview.
It was great speaking with her but she was very candid saying her fear was that I don't have client-side experience which is what they were looking for. Obviously I appreciate someone being upfront but this should have been addressed earlier in the process. She also mentioned how the in-office culture isn't that great and there has been high turnover as of late. Definite red flags. I was supposed to hear back within 1 week of whether or not I would be brought in for an in-person interview.
A few weeks go by and I follow-up only to hear that the job is on hold due to the team's busy schedule. It's been 2 months and I still have no idea what's going on. I see the position advertised on the site.
I felt this whole process was unprofessional and should have been conducted in a better manner. I think this is a phenomenal organization but I got a really bad impression from this lack of process.
