The phone interview was great. That feeling of excitement didn't last when I walked in the door and they realized I was a bit older than their average employee. The conversation that followed reflected this, as they lacked depth and direction. Of course, I base this impression on my conversation with an executive who made me wait 13 minutes, then during the handshake, looked down at their phone and informed me they'd need to cut the conversation short due to a family issue. I'm thinking we may have both been better off if they'd just rescheduled than continually looking at their phone, and asking several questions that meandered well off the path of product. In the end, I was not surprised, but indeed disappointed when said exec expressed that concerns I wasn't a "cultural fit" with the offshore staff. I guess they missed the part where I indicated experience working with individuals and companies in both Israel and Jordan?
