Unfortunately the most unprofessional recruitment experience I’ve had. The recruiter scheduled an initial screening call with one of the strategy managers, however he called me almost 30 minutes earlier than had been scheduled. Thankfully I was in a quiet room at the time so was able to proceed, even if unexpected, however part way through the interview he then had a ‘hard stop’ and cut the discussion off abruptly, suggesting that we continue later in the day. Although not ideal, I complement understand that operational business needs sometimes need to be prioritised. However, I subsequently contacted the recruiter to schedule some additional time to continue the call, however she never responded to my email, other than sending a rejection about a week later. It is of course totally fine if they decided I was not the right person for the role, however given how unprofessionally the process was handled it was perhaps a blessing in disguise.
