I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Samsara (Atlanta, GA) in Aug 2021
Interview
Pretty disappointed in this interview process as I had high hopes for this company. I attended a networking event that they sponsored and met a lot of hiring managers. The recruiter set up a call afterwards that went well and he passed me to a hiring manager. The day before the interview, the manager passes me off to another manager to speak with instead because he was "busy". She was pretty condescending throughout and said I'd hear from the recruiter by the end of the day for next conversations for the next round. 4 days go by and I get a cold automated email saying they are not continuing conversations with me. Neither the recruiter or any of the leadership team could provide me any feedback or even responded to my follow ups. Not scorn because I accepted a role elsewhere, but just a disappointing experience for a company trying to attract talent.

Question 1
Wanted to know about past quota attainment. Thats about it.
Huge misalignment on expectation and lots of misleading information.
If you are offered (or Samsara pressures) to start middle of month or quarter, run. This is a trap to set you up for failure and cut on ramp commissions.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Samsara (London, England) in Jul 2026
Interview
First 30 min chat with a recruiter then a 45 for a call with the hiring manager. The first call was more information sharing and was less formal and the second interview was questions around prior experience and what I would be looking for in a company.

Question 1
What's one thing you want to do or accomplish in your career in the next 5 years.
I first spoke with a recruiter for the screening process, which took about 25 minutes. She was late, but was very nice and provided tips on what they're looking for. She sent a lot of follow up information to prep for the next interview round. I then met with the hiring manager who did a deeper dive into numbers and expectations.
