I interviewed with an individual whose title is unknown because the website and LinkedIn says two different things. The person asked me about me about myself and I let him know that I’m an honest sales professional and he interrupted me and asked why I mentioned honesty. He explained that as a sales person you need to manipulate and that you aren’t honest. Right away I knew this wasn’t the company for me. Then as we continued through the process I could hear him in the background doing something which sounded like he was possibly making lunch. This was supposed to be a video interview and he didn’t turn on his camera. It was very unprofessional. I found him to be rude and quite frankly no one that I’d ever want to work for. Although I didn’t want to move forward, he mentioned that I would hear back later that day and of course I didn’t. Terrible recruiting process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why are you saying you’re an honest person when sales people are manipulators?
Huge misalignment on expectation and lots of misleading information.
If you are offered (or Samsara pressures) to start middle of month or quarter, run. This is a trap to set you up for failure and cut on ramp commissions.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Samsara (London, England) in Jul 2026
Interview
First 30 min chat with a recruiter then a 45 for a call with the hiring manager. The first call was more information sharing and was less formal and the second interview was questions around prior experience and what I would be looking for in a company.

Question 1
What's one thing you want to do or accomplish in your career in the next 5 years.
I first spoke with a recruiter for the screening process, which took about 25 minutes. She was late, but was very nice and provided tips on what they're looking for. She sent a lot of follow up information to prep for the next interview round. I then met with the hiring manager who did a deeper dive into numbers and expectations.
