      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2024

      Interview

I think this was one of the best interview processes I've ever been through. It was a fast process and only took 14 days to get through the four stages of 1) recruiter screen, 2) hiring manager interview, 3) interviews with members of the team, 4) presentation + panel interview and then final interview with VP. I received the hiring decision a few days later and gladly accepted. At each stage of this process, I was treated with the utmost respect and given a lot of information about the process (i.e. when the internal debriefs would occur and when I would find out if I'm progressing). I really appreciated their transparency throughout the entire process. Right from the first call with the senior recruiter, I was struck by how insightful and perceptive they were. They had obviously taken the time to look deeply at my resume/LinkedIn and assess if I had the potential of being a great fit. This was quite different to recruiter calls I've had with other companies where I felt like one of a number and the conversation was perfunctory. They also gave me an in-depth overview of Samsara, the role, the challenges they are facing and what they are looking for. It's clear they are focused on ensuring there is a good fit and that the candidate shares the principles and values of Samsara. Overall, it was a fairly busy couple of weeks but the process was super smooth, I felt well-supported and I really liked all the people/future coworkers I interviewed with.
