What began as a positive experience with Samsara ended quite badly. The delay in officially informing me of my unsuccessful application was, in my view, completely unacceptable. After spending hours preparing for the interviews (which consisted of a recruiter screen, a call with the hiring manager, and four additional 30- to 45-minute interviews) and completing a homework task, only to be ignored for nearly a month, left a very poor impression of the company. I followed up during that period, but was consistently ignored.
The most shocking part of the process was seeing the job re-advertised on LinkedIn after I had completed all my interviews. At that point, I realised I was unsuccessful, but Samsara still didn’t inform me. Instead, they kept me waiting even longer.
In their rejection email, Samsara mentioned I would receive a follow-up email to provide feedback. Despite following up with the recruiter several times, no email has been sent. Perhaps they are trying to hide negative feedback from their peers or team? For a company that supposedly prides itself on being open and transparent, this certainly hasn’t been my experience with them.
