I applied online in late August and did my first phone screen in late September, followed by an in-person panel interview with two separate groups in mid-October. I didn't find out until mid-November that I had not been selected, which is an incredibly long time to wait. Furthermore, never once did salary come into the talks -- I asked for this information after I had found out (because I went looking for feedback) I had not been selected.
What was good: Meeting a variety of folks -- the interview questions themselves were quite sound. Also, they paid mileage for traveling from out-of-town.
What could be better with their process: Telling candidates a salary range as to not waste job candidates and interviewers' time, speeding up the process or at least checking in and saying why things were taking so long. This was disappointing. I had already assumed the result, but I wish employers would just be better about this in general. Says a lot about a company, really.
