I made an online application. I interviewed at Santander in Leicester, UK. There were 3 stages to the interview process. 1) Numerical Test (Extremely easy - write numbers in words/ determine which codes are the same) 2) Lego Building (Easy, depending on whether you have a good partner or not - reverse roles building and instructing) 3) 1 to 1 interview (4 long STAR style questions - see below) I achieved extremely high on the first two aspects of the process. However during the 1 to 1 interview, I informed the interview that I had a degree during one of the questions he asked and his demeanour changed. This is an entry level job - which I was looking at doing on a part time basis. They do not want overqualified people to work here (I was informed of this by the manager during the 1 to 1 interview) as they know that you will leave/find better employment. Moreover, the salary here is very low around 15,000 per year. My advice would be if you are overqualified for this role and you are desperate for the employment then be wary of the answers you give. The interviewer was preferring answering of retail-based scenarios. I was informed that I outscored the other candidates considerably on the Numerical Test. You do not get reimbursed for travelling to the location nor provided food and drink. Overall a very negative experience - and such a waste of time.
