I applied through Glassdoor. The process took about 2 months.
The process had 3 rounds:
1. Phone call with the recruiter - Wants to know about your background and how you align with the role.
2. Video interview scheduled with 2 people, the hiring manager and reporting president to COO - reporting president to COO was unavailable so just interviewed with the hiring manager only
3. Video Interview with the manager of the hiring manager - Background and behavioral questions and some questions in debriefing about past experiences.
The first round was pretty smooth, the phone conversation was good, the recruiter gave me a brief overview about the position and I could see everything went in sync and he readily scheduled my next 2 rounds right away. This lasted for about 20 minutes.
The second round was scheduled with 2 people but because of unavailability, I interviewed with the hiring manager only.
Had a normal conversation and gave him the information about my background. This lasted for about 45 minutes in which he was more interested to provide me the information about the role, the team, the bank, and the culture. He also confirmed my work authorization and I provided the information for the same.
The third round was fairly similar to the second round in which I again answered "tell me about yourself" and then gradually expanded on the bullet points or anything that he asked me in the roles based on my resume and then got some more information about the role and how a normal day would look like along with their short-term and long-term goals that the team is trying to achieve. Finally, he asked my work authorization and told me it would take about 2 weeks to get back.
Two weeks later, I was contacted by the recruiter with whom I had the initial call and he told me that the interview process has been wrapped up and wanted to talk to me regarding the next steps. Discussed about the salary expectations and some negotiation and he again confirmed my work authorization quite a few times and then later again after 2-3 hours and told me he will get back.
Today after a week of my conversation I followed-up and I got an email that since the team decided not to sponsor for the position and hence we will not be proceeding with you.
Had I been already told that they are not able to provide sponsorship, it would have saved my time so overall a bad experience.
