First, there was an initial technical screening which was about 30 minutes. It covered the basics of Java, Spring Boot, React, and some SQL queries. Pretty straightforward stuff to make sure I had the fundamentals down. The second round was the main technical deep-dive, which lasted about an hour. This one was more intense. We started with a live coding problem—it was an array-based question, similar to something you'd find on LeetCode. After that, we spent a lot of time discussing my ERP system project. They really dug into the architecture, asking why I chose certain technologies and how I handled security with JWT. The final round was a managerial/HR round. This was more about my background, my approach to teamwork, and why I was interested in their company specifically. It was a good mix of behavioral questions and discussing my career goals.

I had an HR call where they asked about my salary expectations for a position requiring three years of experience. After I shared my expectations, they said it was too high and mentioned their budget was 20K ILS per month. On one hand, I appreciate their transparency—it saves time for both sides. But on the other hand, the offer is below market value for this level of experience. Since it wasn’t a good fit, we didn’t continue the process.
