When the interview began, I sensed immediately that the interviewers were in a rush. This was confirmed by them saying things like 'keep your answers brief'. At one point the interviews cut me off mid-answer. I found this very off-putting. It was clear that they were rushing through the questions. Also, the connection dropped out several times mid-answer which meant I had to re-dial and begin the answer again. It was supremely frustrating and disruptive. I am sure it impacted my overall performance.
The questions asked were highly technical (not competency based) and in my view not very relevant or helpful in assessing my ability to perform in the role. An example was asking for my opinion on the current problems in that technical area - very general, probably more suited to a high-level senior manager type role (someone who would, for example, be directing strategy and so on).
