I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Scale in Nov 2018
Interview
It appeared to me that recruites or Interviewer on phone screen didnt studied my resume before scheduling for interview.
Problem discussed was not language agnostic or algorithmic. I was given a python code snippet and was asked to find issue in it. I never worked on python and naturally failed to understood the code .
After some 10 minutes he moved to an algorithmic problem which I successfully implemented in language I knew.
Interesting tech screen,, decent prep by recruiter. Final round had a lot of interviews.
Mixed experience overall with some intervieweers seeming distracted and disorganized.
I appear to have been ghosted after completing final round about a week ago. No word either way, despite reaching out to recruiting coordinator. No debrief after interview either
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Scale in Mar 2025
Interview
Call with a recruiter, an online tech screen on a well-known coding interview platform, and then a meeting with the hiring manager. Then some more rounds if you make it past this. The tech screening is probably the worst I've taken part in - not hard just a bad experience.
For the tech screen, you jump on a call and are told to answer some questions that have a SUPER long description in a very short space of time. Just make sure you code quickly. They don't even seem interested in thought processes or communication.

Interview
Overall well organized. Recruiter was very responsive and timely. Since they are interviewing for senior roles they have high expectations. The company is growing and is at the forefront of the industry.
