I did a phone interview with the recruiter for this position and decided not to move forward in the interview process. The reason I made this decision was based on 2 different things. One is that the recruiter was honest about the company not having work life balance and two was that the role is advertised as a Sr. Payroll Manager but when I was interviewed they stated that the company doesnt really reflect on employee titles. For example within the company the title would be Payroll Lead not Sr. Payroll Manager and the offer, if one was given to me would also be Payroll Lead even though it's advertised as a Sr Payroll Manager. The position would still be managing a staff of 3 but the role is a lead position. I feel like this is false advertising in my opinion. Which makes me concerned what else I would have in store for me if I joined the company so, I decided to bow out of the interview process.
