Feedback/Redflags for Scale
- I've never gone through a process where the recruiter doesn't brief you before the calls.
- They also added steps after telling me that the interview with the VP was the last call.
- One of the interviews also asked me to write in SQL or 'any other preferred language' which...I do not know. So it was 45 minutes of awkwardness and frustration for myself and the patient interviewer.
- Got asked if I am willing to work all hours of the day and on the weekends by the VP.
- The team was extremely nice but frankly seemed stressed, told me they 'only like to hire impressive people' so I should slip something in (like having written a book or run a marathon) and multiple times the recruiter would give me a firm date I'd hear back, only to have days of delay.
- Give your candidate time to meet the person at the start and ask questions at the end - interviewers didn't provide this consistently.
8 interviews later - generic rejection.
Product is interesting, team seems nice - just gotta make a better interviewer experience and really assess what you're looking for!
