      Emergency Department Scribe Interview

      Apr 28, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      New York, NY
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ScribeAmerica (New York, NY) in Jan 2018

      Interview

First process is an interview with your hiring manager at a coffee shop somewhere in Manhattan after she approves your application. Then you will meet with her and she will screen you with questions and a typing test. She alternates questions for each candidate, usually with a 3 people group interview (3 candidates being interviewed, and just one interviewer - the hiring manager) so that you can't copy the other candidates' answer. After you pass the typing test and the rapid fire interview questions while being timed with a cellphone (1-2 minutes) They invite you for a 2nd interview with the chief scribes (complete amateurs) They ask you questions about what you would do if you ran over a cat. Something that's not too relevant to the medical scribe field, but just wing it anyway.

Tell me about yourself, what you would do if you ran over a cat?
