      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Seattle Children's

      Interview

First an online application portal - warning! Each time I have applied, portal is buggy and loses your answers! Write them on word doc first! Then a zoom with manager, then one with four team members, and a quick one with the whole team.

      Program Coordinator Interview

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Seattle, WA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Seattle Children's (Seattle, WA) in Oct 2023

      Interview

Had an informational with the hiring manager and then a second interview with a 5 member panel (stakeholders + Hiring Manager). The informational was virtual and the panel was an onsite interview (but most of the interviewers attended virtually). Was notified within one week for the informational interview outcome and two weeks of the panel interview of the outcome. Interviewers were professional and welcoming. I think my interview experience would have been better if more interviewers were either onsite or had their camera on.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me about a time that you pushed back on a manager and what was the result. Tell me about a time you messed up and would you have done differently/how did you resolve it. Tell me about a time that you helped a colleague out. Tell me about a time that you had to work with someone who had a different style of working than you.

      Program Coordinator Interview

      Feb 27, 2023
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Seattle Children's in Feb 2023

      Interview

I was reached out via email by the Hiring Manager/Director for the job to answer questions that were addressed in my cover letter and were not a part of the ICiMS applicant portal when submitting my application. Afterward, I was allowed to schedule a 45-minute video interview. During the interview, a breakdown of the role and responsibilities was given. I was given a chance to speak about my qualifications and why I would be an ideal candidate for this role; the HM liked my response and gave the impression that I would be given an offer. The HM told me that they would not prefer to interview candidates again for this position and would desire someone to stay long-term in this role. I was asked, "How do I know you won't apply to another role within SCH as it is easier to move around to other departments once you are in the organization?" this gave me the impression that my growth opportunities would be limited here. I was passed on to a 2nd round of video interviews to meet the team. I was told I would be an ideal candidate for this position as this position worked with very diverse communities, and I would be able to bring my experience into this program. I followed up with the HM the following week to see where my application stood, and I was told that I would not be offered a job because HM thought this position would not be challenging, and I am overly qualified for a Program Coordinator 2 position. However, each individual finds challenges within their role, but it was predetermined that I would be "bored in a few months...". The organization struggles with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, so I felt I was interviewed to meet a diversity quota.
