My first interview with their Recruiter was an embarrassment for the company. The Recruiter was distracted throughout my interview and it was on video so it was very easy to tell where her attention was/was not. I could tell she was messaging on Slack and even saw her texting when I was speaking. At the end, she asked my salary expectations and I responded first letting her know that I was flexible at this point and wanted to consider all benefits and aspects of the offer. I told her the range that I was seeing in the market and she cut me off, telling me that I was way out of their range ($90,000). She basically told me my range was too high and mentally checked out of the interview. The fact that she wrote me off that fast shows that she was distracted and was not engaged in the conversation. There are Recruitment AI’s that could do a better job than her. Incredibly embarrassing for SecurityScorecard.
