Interview
I saw a sign in the window of the shop, walked in and asked for an application. They gave me one and asked me to fill it out in the store. When I had finished, I gave it to the manager. A week or two later I received a call to schedule an interview with the store manager.
The interview was informal. The manager asked me questions about how I view customer service, loss prevention, and how important do I think team work is. The only difficult (for me) thing they asked me to do was to demonstrate my sales ability. The manager told me to expect a call in a few days from the district manager to schedule my second interview.
About a week after, I had my second interview with the DSM. Again, the interview was informal and comfortable. I was hired that day.
Overall, it was a very positive and professional experience. Both managers were very friendly and professional.

Interview
Very nice and friendly. They sat me down and had a checklist and just went through that checklist. They asked about my background as a student and my schedule, and since I didn't have any experience, they asked me about any volunteering I had done in the past, as well as if I knew how to work a cash register and if I knew about stocking and general retail stuff. They were very peppy and chipper and said that they would contact me after around 3-5 days.
