I applied online and was also referred to through a friend who works there. A 30-minute informal call was set up with a recruiter. Then I was given a hypothetical exercise that I needed to create a presentation for. I presented this to two employees in a one-hour interview. I did not move forward to the next round of interviews.
I understand the want and need to vet potential employees by having them create a presentation and walk through it with the interviewer, but this felt like a lot of work upfront for just the second round of an interview process. It certainly was new to me. I felt like the team could've come to the same conclusion about my experience with a question/answer interview so I didn't have to spend hours putting a presentation together only to get cut afterward.
That being said I do think this is a great company full of really smart, nice people. I thought everyone I talked to was really engaging and thoughtful. I would hope they can adjust their interview process in the future.
