I received an email from the owner requesting good times to set up a phone interview. I provided a few possible time slots. He never replied. Very unprofessional if you ask me.

Interview
Talked with the chief scientist over the phone and felt immediately like it was some kind of a scam. But I was desperate for a job so when I got invited for an in-person interview I made the 3 hour drive.
After an interview with the CEO I was excited by the idea and the passion of the company but scared by the idea that they were small, in a shared work space, and seemed to have a lot of promises that things would soon be different than what I was seeing.
I was given an offer of 55k/year and coming out of school with a master's in mechanical engineering, I was hoping for a little more. After a counter-offer of 60k I was told abruptly that they were rescinding their offer and moving forward with another candidate.
