I applied through college or university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Sherwin-Williams (Boston, MA) in Apr 2013
Interview
Quick and basic questions. General knowledge questions nothing hard or out of the ordinary. Do not have to have prior paint knowledge. Just speak clearly and show confidence. Started with area recruiter and then met with 1:1 with a store manager and assistant manager.
Very smooth process. Interview was a call with the recruiter and then went into the corporate office. From there, if I got selected I then went to the store I would be training at. I would learn the store and there processes on how the store runs and how to manage the POS system. Work with contractors, and be able to make products.

Meet with district manager go through questions prepping you for days at the store. If you are a good fit they will have a follow up interview or send you a detailed email packet with info.

Interview
There was an initial phone screening that was followed by a store visit, then in person interview. The in person interview is with the district manager where they ask questions about how your experience relates to the role. The store visit is basically just seeing how the store operates.
