I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Shopify
Interview
Consisted of just a casual conversation centered around my whole life , right from middle school to my senior year at college. Nothing technical. I was asked to explain the work I had done at my previous internships, past projects, etc. Interview went surprisingly well.
The interviewer was quite sweet and humble. Got my rejection mail after 2 days without any solid reason. No idea, why ?
After CV screening, its OA with a CCAT test that is 40 questions 20 minutes and a coderpad with 3 questions solved with C++, preferred language and ruby. Medium level LeetCode problems
Three rounds, first a interview with a team member, then a technical interview with an engineer, and finally the life story interview with a recruiter. However, there was a lengthy application process before being offered an interview.
Had a few calls to meet people, was fairly smooth. Met several key people from the company during the process. They wanted to get a feel of my technical skills but also communication skills.
