The interview process was organized, transparent, and easy.
I would speak to other reviews in echoing the sentiment that it was more of a "personal" nearing invasive process, where I felt it was difficult to direct the conversation away from my personal life and back to my accomplishments and the job itself—making it hard to decipher the want by the organization for the role, and also if this was a role that I actually wanted.
Generally speaking, this is a role I am over-qualified to do but was eager to be part of the Shopify development ways, but when pressing the recruiter on some of the organizational structures, feedback loops, metrics, and ownership, it's clear there are still silos and gaps and she struggled to give an answer that wasn't reflective of her own experience in this role (and inferring some pain points.)
Overall, I felt that by asking harder questions, it weakened my chance of offer, but that's just a hunch and not confirmed by anything official. It was a job interview, and I treated it as such, not just a casual conversation.
