Straightforward and somewhat technical. Definitely know your stuff regarding the basics (pipetting, reagent prep, calibration, lab math/calculations, etc) and be ready to go into some detail regarding the more niche areas of the job description (whether that’s genome editing or protein purification work—whatever it is they ask for). For example, what kind of techniques you used during your undergrad/other work history will be required of you to perform the job? If they mostly ask for protein purification techniques to perform the job, then mostly talk about that, and then briefly touch on the other requirements.
