Following the online assessments and video interview, I was invited to an assessment centre. For the first activity, I had 15 minutes to prepare a 2-minute pitch about a website to present to the hiring managers followed by typical questions. Then there was a presentation that I came prepared for on driving internal digitlisation within the company amongst resistent employees. The assessors kept saying "okay but give us solutions we can do at Siemens in this office", obviously I don't have enough info to do so. I found it lame that they're basically assigning this boring real task to their candidates. The two activities were back-to-back with no break in between. No tour of the office, no lunch. Been 3 weeks and they haven't come back to me nor they have reimbursed my travel expenses to Poole. It's just another huge corporation to avoid really. The hiring managers were nice if that's any consolation.
