Long winded, took 3 months after applying to get a telephone interview. Eventually a manager from India called me. (The role was to be based in Cambridge, UK). During the interview, their phone system kept cutting us off every 5 minutes! After that, another four weeks hounding them after they said they'd like to organise a face to face interview. Eventually, after giving me an interview date (but no confirmation like address to attend etc), they got back to me on the day of the supposed interview and said the role had been filled. All I seemed to deal with was people from India for a role based in the UK! I was quite shocked that a company the size of Siemens would act in such an unprofessional way, and I certainly would not consider another role with them. During the period of them messing me around, I had an interview with another company who made me an offer, sorted the paperwork and gave me a start date all within 2 weeks. That is how to recruit people Siemens! Take note!
