THIS REVIEW APPLIES TO SIEMENS MOBILTY- Although parts may be similar, I can only speak to my experience with the Siemens Mobility sector and not any others!
Applied for a few similar positions on a Wednesday, by the end of the same week I had an intial video interview scheduled for the following week in addition to having been contacted by recruiting about another position and an initial interview scheduled.
Interviewed for both positions. Each consisted of two interviews with the first being a 30 minute remote interview covering the position expectations as well as reviewing and answering questions about my resume and experience, no technical or behavioral questions.
Second interviews were more in-depth. One was still virtual but a panel interview with a deeper dive into experience and technical understanding. The other was an on-site interview consisting of a walk-around as well as technical-literacy tests involving electrical circuits, schematics, and mechanical/electric systems onboard a diesel electric locomotive.
After two rounds of interviews I was separately contacted by relevant departments with job offers. HR stepped in to ensure there was no internal competition and made each hiring manager aware of the other offer. They made sure to hold each offer and match compensation so the decision on my part was entirely based on the job and not pay.
Upon accepting an offer I had to pass a standard background check (criminal, education, job history, etc) and a drug screening (urine) which only took about one week from start to finish.
From application to start date was just a touch over one month and was exceptionally professional, efficient, and transparent!
