I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Signet Jewelers in Oct 2015
Interview
Pretty casual, they asked what you would bring to the team. The pre-interview test is what gets a lot of people disqualified. You need to be genuine and show your true personality, they are looking for a diverse team to be able to connect with all customers. Be honest and genuine, connecting with the manager and/or assistant manager is more important than you knowledge of jewelry/retail. Someone can be trained to sell but if you cannot connect and talk to new people it's hard to have a customer connect with you. Don't feel nervous because this does come with experience but be confident and "fake it till you make it" meaning even if you don't feel confident act like it. Look them in the eye, laugh at yourself, even if the answer may sound "dumb" or "cheesy" say it like you believe in it.
I interviewed at Signet Jewelers (Douglasville, GA)
Interview
Applied online, called their location to follow up after a few days and was asked if I had brought my resume in for review. I had not received any communication from them, so I wasn't aware this was a step they required applications to do. When I asked the best time of day to come in, the woman laughed and told me to "figure it out."
The questions were easy and very general interview questions, first with store manager then a personality test that you need to get good marks then they call you to offer the job and best time to apply is September that they start hiring for Christmas and you can get a permanent position
Generally easy good natured interview. If you have good customer service skills it’s a breeze. Come armed with good examples of your experience and they do a role play example.
