The company got back to me quickly, but the interview was awful.
I arrived and was told ten minutes after our interview time, that I would in fact not be meeting the interviewer that day, I would instead be having an interview conducted by the receptionist. Very nice woman, we had a good conversation, and at the end, I was told she'd recommend me for a second interview.
Fast forward, two days later, I'm informed that I will not get a second interview, by the person who was too busy to actually interview me in the first place. If my resume was seen as good enough, and the interviewer you had field me wanted to recommend me for a second interview, I think it is incredibly insulting to deny me a second interview, when you didn't even make the time to conduct my first. I was never given a chance to make an actual impression. I called out of my classes for an interview that was never actually conducted.
I was really hoping to work with this company, and this blatant insult was incredibly disheartening. Totally rude and unprofessional behavior.
