I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at SimpliSafe (Boston, MA) in May 2018
Interview
A recruiter connected me to the CMO, who was looking to scale up the Marketing team. There wasn't a specific job I was applying to, but rather a series of conversations to see if there was a fit between my skill set and the team's needs as they prepare to scale after a large investment was announced.
I had an initial coffee conversation with the CMO, followed by a couple phone calls and emails where we discussed potential role fit. I then met with several peers and a team lead in person at the offices.
