I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SimpliSafe
Interview
30 minute behavioral phone call with the Manager, who told me I would then be emailed instructions for a take-home technical interview. Instead I was routed to the Head of Talent, who had a 30 minute call. For a week after this, the job description was reposted and third party recruiters reached out to me for the new posting for the same position, until I followed up on the email instructions and was told that they were seeking and engaging with candidates with deeper relevant experience.
I understand wanting to find candidates with better fit, but if I wasn't a relevant match then I'm not entirely sure why my resume passed their screening twice. The messy follow-up and differing instructions seem to me like SimpliSafe's candidate vetting process is not yet fully mature.
