I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at SiriusXM in Jan 2016
Interview
This was the most unprofessional place I've ever interviewed. The scheduler kept changing the interview date on me - barrage of emails and phone calls - and then scheduled an interview with someone that apparently was never supposed to happen (the woman had another meeting). I kept waiting for the last interviewer to show up, until they finally figured out there was a time conflict.
The role itself was not a good fit for me, so this isn't a bitter or resentful review just because I didn't get an offer. I was just shocked at the level of disorganization and lack of common courtesy. I should note that in the recruiter's original email to me, they actually used the wrong name - I thought nothing of it, since these things happen, but apparently it was a warning!
True to form, the email I received informing me that I was not going to move forward was very rude and unprofessional as well.
Really negative experience. Even in cases when I don't move forward or get an offer, I feel like I've gained something from interview experience. In this case, it was a total waste of time; they were so discourteous, disorganized, and unprofessional.

Question 1
Describe your experiences smoothing over conflicts in team settings.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at SiriusXM (New York, NY) in Sep 2023
Interview
7 interviews, 1 test (that they never let me know they received), 2 month long process only to be ghosted - I emailed the person who scheduled my interviews to follow up and they said how would they know and to email a recruiter (never chatted with another person and they use autogenerated emails so can’t do that…), then the next week I guessed on an email for my would be manager to check in and they sent me a email back saying if there was an update they would’ve told me. I decided to be patient and three weeks later I got an email from a generic “Sirius XM” account saying “as you may be aware” the position was eliminated and to add them on LinkedIn! Signed, your pal Sirius XM.
I get that companies restructure but 7 interviews is ridiculous even for a position they themselves described as basic help to keep other people from drowning under their current workloads. Towards the 5-7 interview I started hoping it wouldn’t work out - the interviews were stale, no signs of camaraderie and a clear need to scale business over establishing a good place to work.
It was a relatively straight forward interview given the job title and expectations - past experience, why you want the job, level of comfort/interest in news, politics, sports pop culture etc.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SiriusXM (Washington, DC) in Aug 2021
Interview
Over the phone interview with Program Director and Assistant Program Director. Pretty straight forward and enjoyable experience. Lasted for about 20 minutes. Also had to meet with Recruiter before this interview. Very straight forward.
