I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at SkyWest Airlines (Detroit, MI) in Jan 2017
Interview
Boy, how do you forget to put the right date on the flight attendant information session bulletin? Multiple people showed up wondering what was happening and one went into a near mental breakdown. I flew in from Boston and when I arrived and they told me that it happened the day before but they did not tell a soul. I was really angry but they sent someone over to give the presentation and decide who they wanted to keep based on our introductions. At that point, he decided to interview everyone which made me wonder why we even did introductions to begin with. The interview is the easiest airline interview I have done to date. Just be happy, kind, courteous and be yourself. The questions are truly a wild card though. They just have a list and pick 10 off the list for you to answer. I should also note the interview was quite long for me because I asked a lot about the company and really put myself out there so I spent a good 45 minutes with him but the average is about 25 minutes. I accepted my offer solely because the benefits were good and because it was non-union but you may feel different. I foresee a perplexing future with this company which is why I was not happy with the interview process.

How do you wake up a passenger to tell him to put on his seatbelt?
It was a virtual one on one and after this process they alerted me of my training date a week later. The process was so pretty seemless and the company is good to work for but any little mistake you make you can be out.
The interview process was quick and easy. The recruiters were nice and answered all of my questions. They explained how the benefits worked and were very knowledgeable and the company.

Interview
Most of the interview involved picking apart my previous work experience. Asked a few basic questions, they are just looking for a certain look. It’s obvious. My look did not fit the part
