      Flight Attendant Interview

      May 1, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at SkyWest Airlines

      Interview

The process started at 6 pm and lasted about 4 hours for people who participated in one-on-one interviews. There were about 35 of us, and only 10 got individual interviews. A lot of interview reviews tell you to "smile until your cheeks hurt" and be super outgoing during downtime, but honestly the people doing that at the interview seemed so unnatural. Most of the people who got one-on-one interviews were serious about the job and pleasant without trying too hard. Also, there were a lot of students from a local flight attendant school at this interview, and only two of them made it to individual interviews, so don't be intimidated if you're not in flight attendant school. You will be selected for a one-on-one based off of how well you sell yourself during your one minute (max) introduction. Basically, you need to draw off of your work/education/volunteer history to explain why you'd be a great flight attendant. If you talk about your personal life or go over a minute, you probably won't get called back. The one-on-ones were very easy going, they alternate tough questions with questions about your resume so you have a bit of a break between them. At my interview event, there were 4 separate interviews going on in the presentation room at the same time, so be mindful not to be too loud. My interviewer seemed annoyed at one point because another interviewee on the other end of the room was very loud.

It was a virtual one on one and after this process they alerted me of my training date a week later. The process was so pretty seemless and the company is good to work for but any little mistake you make you can be out.
