The interview process was very natural and non-pressured. Slalom was very accommodating to my timeline and schedule. We started discussions very informally with some email comms followed by coffee with one of the recruiters to get a feel for overall fit (on both ends). The recruiter I worked with was very forthcoming with relevant info about the Slalom Philly office, it's history, growth plans and leadership (all important details to understand about a new (to Philly) consultancy. Once we determined mutual interest, they brought me in for in-person interviews. The interviews were with various leaders in the practice area I was being recruited for and were pretty low pressure - we just had conversations about background, the type of work I have done, the type of work Slalom is doing, where I might fit, etc... In total, I had 3 separate in-person interviews and 1 phone interview. The whole recruiting process stretched for about 5 months in my case from the time of my first contact until an offer was made. While it seems like a long time, most of this was due to my own personal timing coupled with Slalom not wanting to bring me on until there was more work in the pipeline. The entire time, the recruiting team was in contact with me letting me know what was happening and where things stood. This was so refreshing - no games, just a very straightforward, human approach to what is otherwise a very stressful process.
