Initial screening with the recruiter, went great. Second interview with the lead. We had a great fit since we had a similar background. Third interview with another senior consultant. I thought that it went well, but apparently the feedback from the senior consultant wasn’t positive. I got an email from the recruiter for a quick meeting for 4:30pm on Friday (almost 3 weeks after the interview with the senior consultant).
I’m currently in the management level in org development with a solid 5 years of experience. And I’ve been told that I didn’t fit for senior consulting role. The recruiter told me that Slalom saw me at consultant level role. Obviously, I asked for more feedback. And I literally didn’t get anything from the recruiter. She was searching for her words, saying things that the lead and senior consultant were very keen on me, but they thought that I wouldn’t be able to have difficult conversations with clients. I asked for more details, but the poor recruiter was completely lost. This was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard since I’ve never mentioned something that could have lead the interviewers get to that conclusion.
