I got connected through Slalom with matchmaking at my boot camp which is why my experience was ultimately negative. We were allowed to pick 4 companies to meet, I picked Slalom based on their employee reviews and the fact they had hired from this boot camp before. It was my top choice. I did the match making interview which went well and was sent the assessment. The problem is the assessment was clearly beyond anything for what I was eligible for. I took assessments for entry level engineer jobs at multiple other companies that I passed so it was confusing to try and complete this one because it was nothing I had learned. I essentially wasted my top pick on Slalom because the Cloud Residency program was not something for boot camp students. Again, a letdown because I know I could have done this Residency. It did not even start until September and it is only April, plenty of time to catch up on what I'm missing. Very bummed because it sounds like a great place to work.
