I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Slalom in Feb 2022
Interview
I was referred by a current Slalom employee. The interview process is long, but I’m grateful that they care enough to make sure they’re building solid teams. I was nervous about the case study interview because all of the information I could find on the internet described case studies outside of my wheelhouse. I don’t have anything to worry about, though. The case study that they gave me aligned with my skills and the interview was pretty informal.
Mostly standard consulting interview questions: ask about your past work experience, what were the difficulties and how you overcame these difficulties, etc. Overall process took a little bit longer than expected due to difficulty to get interviewers' availability.
Recruiter screening focused on background and fit, followed by a hiring manager interview assessing technical and consulting skills, and a final director round evaluating strategic thinking, communication, and overall alignment.
I applied online. I interviewed at Slalom (Santa Monica, CA) in Aug 2025
Interview
Initial HR interview then interview with hiring manager and then never heard again from the company. Reached out multiple times for follow up on whether moving forward or not, and never got a response. Job posting still on.
