The recruiter stood me up for our first interview because she “missed the email where I said the proposed time worked for us.” Then she left on vacation for a week.
Upon her returning from vacation, I had to email her twice for a response, and in the response she told me they had extended an offer to someone else while she was on PTO.
She implied she does not answer messages on PTO (she told me she was returning Monday, which is the day I sent the email) and had the audacity to say “thanks for emailing separately so I could see the response.” In the first email I had replied to her thread, and for the second I sent a brand new email so I could set the subject line…what? Do your recruiters not know how to use Gmail, or not know how Gmail threads work?
If her recruiter had been this incompetent and sloppy, she wouldn’t be working there at all. She is clearly young and inexperienced, so hopefully she understands that now or learns it.
