I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Slalom (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2014
Interview
The interview process was kicked off with an in person meeting over coffee with one of the local recruiters I'd been in correspondence with where we discussed market conditions, needs, and pipeline for the Practice Area that I'd be interviewing for.
From there I underwent 4 rounds of in-person interviews. These interviews were about an hour to an hour and a half long, and were focused around my core consulting competencies, past experiences on tough and very successful engagements, and scenario-based questions ("how would you handle a situation where...").
A few days following my last interview, I was told by my recruiter that Slalom would be putting together an offer and extending it soon. There was a few months of waiting, I assume as they were trying to line my offer extension up with client work that could engage me soon after my accepting. I was then extended an offer that I eventually accepted.

Question 1
Share some examples of how you have handled stakeholder resistance in the past.
Mostly standard consulting interview questions: ask about your past work experience, what were the difficulties and how you overcame these difficulties, etc. Overall process took a little bit longer than expected due to difficulty to get interviewers' availability.
Recruiter screening focused on background and fit, followed by a hiring manager interview assessing technical and consulting skills, and a final director round evaluating strategic thinking, communication, and overall alignment.
I applied online. I interviewed at Slalom (Santa Monica, CA) in Aug 2025
Interview
Initial HR interview then interview with hiring manager and then never heard again from the company. Reached out multiple times for follow up on whether moving forward or not, and never got a response. Job posting still on.
